on my civic i had to cut that thing with a hacksaw, and then pull it off.
When my friend with an integra got one, he just pulled on it hard and it came right off.
That's a total opposite to the amount of sweat and work it took to get mine off. Also don't try twisting it too much b/c it will cause your e brake handle to get loose.
Try pulling it straight off, if that doesn't work CAREFULLY make a slit down the middle of it with a hacksaw and yank it.

Would heating the plastic handle with a hair dryer help? I'm not sure what holds it on - if it's a press/interference fit then heating the plastic should help when pulling it off.

How do I remove the stock parking brake handle? The handle is going South so I'd like to replace it with an aftermarket. Thx.

well i know that on civics the metal handle part under the plastic has a groove that sticks out that lines it self up with one on the plastic handle to keep it on very tight.
